- Said Nobody Ever.
Watching paint dry is more thrilling that this qualifying format. Bernie and the FIA are fucking idiots.

To be fair Bernie hates the qualifying system just as much as everyone else. It's because of Jean Todt FIA President, that they kept it

P8, the grid position nobody wants.
Hilarious that HUL and his team were disappointed he made it into Q3. Meanwhile, GRO (bumped by HUL) is excited he gets to start P9 and they get to select whatever tires they want.

I was surprised that HUL went back out towards the end of Q2 for that reason. I bet GRO had the speed to make it into Q3, and would have been fantastic for Haas but they definitely played the game right. Hopefully they can keep that pace and not have any major errors, and they should easily have a shot to match their result from Australia.

would he have to go out at all in q3?
what would his tire choice be if he just sat out q3?

Yep. It was a FIA vote to keep the system. Surprisingly enough, they voted to keep their terrible idea.
